Traditional wicker basket with Mallorcan typical cloth "tela de llengua" (cloth of tongues) and zip. It is completely closed. The handles are made of leather. Their colour turns darker; it's a natural process.
There may be variations in the fabric depending on the basket as it is handmade. The pictures show an example of a basket.
The individual palm leaves are woven in braids with elaborate handwork following the ancient tradition. This craft has been practised in and around Artà since 1899.
The baskets can be used to carry all kinds of objects, as an everyday bag or as a beach bag. Each basket is a multifunctional and extremely resistant piece.
